The Grand Morocc sits on the outskirts of Chiang Mai on the foothills of the Doi Suthep-Pui mountain range in Mae Sa Valley, an area known for its abundance of both manmade and natural attractions. Our boutique residences is a mere half hour’s drive from both the Chiang Mai International Airport, and the city centre, a convenient distance for easy access.

The Grand Morocc Hotel is set at the mouth of Mae Sa Valley, fondly called Chiang Mai’s playground by residents and tourists alike. Mae Sa Valley, with the Mae Sa river flowing down it, is a lush green valley flanked by mountains containing a plethora of both natural and man-made attractions. Rent a car, hire a guide or hop onto a bicycle to explore the beautiful area dotted with secret cafes, waterfall-side restaurants, and National Parks.
Get your adrenalin pumping by doing a bungee jump or a jungle canopy zip line experience at any of the numerous man-made attractions along the valley. You can rent ATVs and go off-road, roll around in a zorb ball or zoom around a mountain side at a jungle coaster, the possibilities are endless.
There are numerous animal attractions along the route and you can visit elephant camps, riding elephants at Mae Sa Elephant Camp through jungle trails or watching baby elephants frolic in waterfalls, learn about the relationship between Thai farmers and buffalos at the Buffalo Training Village or visit the nearby Tiger Kingdom.
The best way to explore this adventure land is by your own steam. Either rent a car or a bike and head off to create your very own adventure. There are numerous finds to be had from adorable jungle cafes to gourmet restaurants. The villagers are friendly and helpful and as long as you stick to paved roads…
The Grand Morocc is a mere five minutes’ drive from the district of Mae Rim where you will find shops, restaurants, cafes and bars. Ask your concierge for recommendations, whether it be a chic wine bar, a great steak house or a luxurious spa experience.
